Description

Gas Assist Injection Molding is a molding process that uses pressurized gas like Nitrogen to hollow out thick sections of a plastic part during injection. The gas pushes molten plastic against the mold walls, reducing material usage, minimizing sink marks, and improving structural integrity. 


This process allows for the production of lightweight, durable parts with complex geometries while reducing cycle time and costs. Some examples of gas assist molded parts are luggage or cart handles.
