Injection Molding Process

Compression Molding

Description

Compression molding is a manufacturing process that takes a premeasured amount of thermoset rubber or silicone and presses it into the required shape while it vulcanizes into its’ final material properties. This process provides great elastomeric parts that can be used for o-rings or gaskets and have excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties.

Benefits

Compression molding provides parts that are:

  • Cost-effective for large parts
  • Highly durable
  • Lower tooling costs
