Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Molding

Injection Molding Process

Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Molding

Description

LSR is an injection molding process that uses liquid silicone rubber to create flexible, durable, and heat-resistant components. LSR is injected into a mold in its liquid state, then cured at high temperatures to form precision-molded parts with excellent biocompatibility, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.

LSR molding is ideal for producing high-quality, consistent parts with complex geometries, minimal waste, and superior performance in extreme conditions. Some examples of LSR parts are syringe plungers, gaskets, and buttons.

Benefits

LSR produces parts that are:

  • Soft durometer
  • Silicone material
  • Durable and heat resistant
